Friday,June 1 / Hi, welcome to Moores racing. This web page is new to us,
we'll TRY to update often. This week is reg racing, we think the car is dialed
in.....we'll see.

Sunday June 3 / Rain, rain, go away... Races rained out. No change in points
we are holding at 13th. Next week is a 100 lap race.

Sunday June 10/Arrggg. What a night. Wreck after wreck, caution after
caution. Randy spun out in the heat, resulting in a 16 place start in the 25 car
field. The Moores service center Thunderbird was a little loose thru the race
but very drivable. Randy was taking it easy for the first 70 laps, but caution
after caution kept finding him futher up the field. The second to last caution
put Randy at the point when the top three cars tangled in turns 3/4. With all
the caution laps adding on to the racing laps, we knew we were in trouble
with fuel. The caution flew once more on lap 81, as Randy came around the
back stretch the Ford ran out of gas. Getting a push into the pits we splashed
some gas in and got Randy back out. Checkers suddenly flew with the caution
?? NBIS awarding Randy 5th spot(last spot on the lead lap) Had he had warning he would have rolled to the infield out of fuel...and would have been awarded the win. ARRRGGGG.

Sat June 16/ With a cloud of smoke the Molsons Canadian Thunderbird was
done for the night. After starting 10 in the feature, Randy sensed something
was wrong. Half way thru the feature we all knew something was wrong, as
the Ford blew up going into the third turn. This was not a points race so we
remain 13 in the standings.

Sat June 23/ Rain again..I wonder if they would let us race with wiper blades
on the car?

Sat July 21/Finally Checkers for the Moores Service Center
Ford. After having a rough season so far we finally had a feature win.Randy
didn't have to push the Car so we think we finally got a handle on it. We
needed this win.

Sat July 28/Long day at the track.Streetstocks and Sportsman ran their races
in the afternoon, while the Prostocks ran quailifing races. The Prostocks had
their big 250 lap race in the evening. In our heat we were completely loose
putting the Ford at the back of the feature. After adjusting on the car we
though we had it back to being drivable. Randy started near the back of the

pack and tried to work his way up thru the field. It had rained just before
the feature and I think made the top of the track slick. Coming thru 3/4
Randy got pushed up high and stayed high on to the straight ,the car got loose
and the right rear tire dipped down off the pavement. The rear of the car touched the embankment sending the TBird into a horrifying looking dance down the front stretch. It might have rolled and flipped as many as 4 times.
Randy was still in the racing mood and looking for reverse when the amblance got to him. Other than a sore shoulder Randy
seems fine. The car doesn't seem hurt bad enought not to be back by next week.
Note: after a couple of hours work on Sunday , Randy and Frank drove the car off the truck.

Sat Aug 4/ After Randy and Frank worked on the car all week, including a
final black paint job Sat afternoon, the Molson Canadian TBird was back.....
for a bit. The car worked good in practice, and we were thinking maybe how
great a win would be on our first night since the wreck. But..a rear seal gave
out on the TBird at the begining of the heat race. Soaking the right rear tire
and the track with rear end fluid. Randy had a hard time to keep from wrecking
We didn't have a spare so we parked it for the night.

Sat Aug 11/  Coming back after the last two weeks and winning our heat
sure felt good. Randy piloted the Moores Service Center Ford to the checkered in the second heat of the night. The dash race saw Randy coming home with a
third place finish. In the main event it was evident that the car has not yet completely recovered from its ordeal , falling back to a ninth place finish. Some tinkering is in order.
